Situated in the center at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser, Ellmau not only fascinates with the fantastic natural scenery, but also with hardly any surpassing offer of winter sports activities.

Cross-country skiing, winter hiking, paragliding, snowshoeing, Segway, Fatbiken, curling or a romantic carriage ride - Ellmau offers a wide range of activities. Numerous bars and pubs and rustic huts invite you to après-ski or cozy hut evening with Tyrolean specialties like "Jagatee".

Toboggan fun in Ellmau

A "tobogganing evening" is part of the winter holiday. In the evening sit comfortably on the hut and enjoy the Tyrolean cuisine and then flit over the 4.5 km long illuminated toboggan run into the village. The toboggan run Astberg is lit until midnight and provides the ultimate toboggan run.

The Wilder Kaiser has long been known and loved for tobogganing with its natural and well-maintained toboggan tracks. A total of 16 kilometres, partly covered by snow cannons, spread over five toboggan runs gives plenty of scope to let the toboggan go at full speed.

Whether taking a romantic run down forest trails like those in Going from the Graspoint Niederalm or on the Tannbichl, or a sporty run on the 4.5 km long Astberg toboggan track with runs down to Ellmau and Going, sledging fans can enjoy leaning into the bends in the tracks set in the spurs of the Wilder Kaiser or in the forested slopes of the northern Kitzbüheler Alps.

The 3 km long Hexenritt section of the toboggan track in Söll is interspersed with various scenes to provide surprises on the way down and the 3.8 km long, 6 metre wide Moonlight toboggan track also in Hochsöll is ideal for families.
